Few artists have worked as hard to get to where they deserve as Nao.
Her calendar in the last few years has been gruelling, with performances all over the world as she establishes herself at the forefront of the UK music scene.

It's been four years since I first saw on the main stage at Parklife, and it was clear at that point that there was a lot more to come. Since then I've seen her three more times, all at festivals, and it's been great to see her mature into the artist she is now.

It was fitting that her set at Somerset House would begin as it did - in a platform in among the crowd. The years of building up her fan base has paid off, with the night a sell-out and an enthusiastic audience arriving early to get close to the stage were well rewarded.

"Saturn" and "Another Lifetime" were delivered with energy and power, the 31-year-old Londoner pacing around the stage and digging deep to hit every note.

"Orbit" sounded fresh as Nao showed off her impressive vocal range, and it was nice to see the audience singing every word of every track back to her.

The devotion of her fans was clearly a rich reward for her hard work, as Nao seldom stopped smiling throughout.

On a warm summer evening, the singer turned up the temperature with a rousing version of "Bad Blood".

Expect to see this talented artist a lot more in years to come, she's worked hard to get here, and I wouldn't be surprised to see her stay at the top for a long, long time.
