Jorja Smith: Somerset House, London 13/7/18
Just a couple of years ago, Jorja Smith regularly crossed Waterloo Bridge on her way to work. Now, at the age of just 21, she is well established as one of the country's most exciting talents, having already worked with some of the biggest stars in the world, including Drake.
The UK songstress made waves with her excellent debut album "Lost & Found", which was released in June last year.
The historic Somerset House courtyard was a superb venue to showcase her work, with a sell-out crowd packing into the central London stately home to see the performance.
Unsurprisingly, material from her album made up the backbone of her set, which was energetic and demonstrated her star quality.
Smith sounded flawless as she launched into versions of "Something In The Way" and "Where Did I Go?", and "Teenage Fantasy" had fans dancing.
It may have only been a few weeks since her album dropped, but audience members recited back all the words to her tracks as if she had been performing for years.
"Blue Lights" and "Let Me Down" were among the highlights of the set.
There is a huge buzz around Jorja Smith at the moment. And her performance in one of London's most iconic venues shows that she lives up to the hype.
