REBEKAH:
Michael Jackson's Death is still as much of a shock to me as anyone else but it feels like he's still here with us. His music touched us all in many different ways as there is many different songs that he sung. Michael was a god to me even though I never saw any of his concerts in person. But besides that if I had to take sides on which musical artists is the best, Michael Jackson is always my answer. Michael Jackson may of been shy one moment then really brave and estatic another - he was an icon to everyone, even if they didn't like him!!. R.I.P Michael We Miss You Sooo Much.

ROB(CADIZ):
He was a genius and i didn't believe a word of the child abuse stuff ever. He was naive but not evil. Loved the music. Thanks Micheal.

MARY GEORGIOU-MACKO (Southgate, London):
Following Micheal's death my 7 year old son said, "Mummy, will Micheal Jackson make songs in heaven?" This is such a beautiful question and one that will stay with me forever! We miss Micheal so much.

FELIX 'FE':
The early hours of the 26th June 2009 will always stay with me, awoken by a phone call to let me know that the 'King Of Pop' had died.

As i returned to my bed, i was hoping that it was all a dream,it was very surrealistic to say the most but as i always sleep with the radio, his songs from the Jackson 5 to the History period were in rotation. The world lost a top class entertainer & performer and despite his eccentricities no one will ever take his place, he was a one-off.

As i was growing up in the 1980s, he was the most important pop star of my childhood/teen years, with his captivating promos, his unique musical blend of Soul/R&B-dance with heavy elements of rock & pop set the trend for any performers to follow this gauntlet stems from the breakthrough Madonna to modern day artists like Usher, Timberlake & Beyonce.

As Elvis, Buddy, Richie, Eddie & Gene are iconic to the Rock & Roll fraternity and the likes of Hendrix,Joplin, Jim Morrison, Bolan, Lennon, Mercury & Arthur Lee are worshipped as rock heroes. That same heroic and iconic status will surely await 'The KIng Of Pop' as he did so much to break the barriers for black artists not just breaking the MTV bar but pioneering that soul/dance/rock blend that every African-American artist seemingly tried their hand at and with mixed results.

Remember this man for the music, the videos and nothing else, remember he was found NOT GUILTY... Long Live The King & His Music.

GARY ANTHONY BOX:

Dear Michael Jackson (Mama's Pearl),

We Remember The Time when during your Childhood you got Butterflies because you had to learn the ABC, but then One Day In Your Life you were Looking Through The Windows at the Heartbreak Hotel with your brothers and asked the question Can You Feel It, you then said to yourself I Wanna Be Startin' Somethin', I've Got To Be There, Will You Be There, I'll Be There and true to your word you were there, you Shook Your Body Down To The Ground, some people asked Doctor My Eyes Who Is It and while others were left Speechless we just had to Get On The Floor, Jam and Rock With You whilst you Thrilled us with the moonwalk and your Bad and Dangerous Off The Wall tunes.

Another Part Of You danced and sang of love and consciousness, you were Workin' Day And Night but at times, because of Those Who Don't Care About Us and Tabloid Junkies who spoke of Ghosts In The Closet, Speed Demons, Morphine and Money, you had no Privacy and felt Threatened and all alone like one of The Lost Children, you became a Streetwalker and a Stranger In Moscow, it was like Torture you needed to Scream out loud Leave Me Alone but you were Unbreakable and with your Earth Song and your kind Human Nature you wanted to Show Us The Way To Go and for us all to Come Together as one so that we could Heal The World, but it's a sad Hallelujah Day, there just Ain't No Sunshine because Someone In The Dark had to Fly Away and has Gone Too Soon, you're so right Brother Michael cuz it don't matter if you're Black Or White, 2 Bad that's History now so Walk Right Now and Beat It, We Are The World and thank you for sharing yours and The Love You Saved with us.

If only Heaven Could Have Waited and This Time Around you could have had One More Chance, yes your life at times as we know was like a Carousel and now as you Ease On Down The Road at the Break Of Dawn we may Cry, it's hard to Smile, We Can't Help It, we're not Happy because We Want You Back but Whatever Happens we will Keep The Faith, You Rocked Our World, we Won't Stop Til' We Get Enough which means there may be Blood On The Dance Floor and we won't forget The Way You Make Us Feel either because You'll Never Be Out Of Our Lives and Even Though You're Gone we Never Can Say Goodbye so it's just simply Farewell Our Summer Love wonder Who's Loving You now.

My Girlfriend being The Lady In My Life, myself, Q, Ben, Rockin' Robin, Skywriter, Smooth Criminal, Billie Jean, Dirty Diana, Liberian Girl, Superfly Sister, Little Susie, D.S., P.Y.T., The Girl Who Is Yours, Just Good Friends and virtually Everybody within The Entire Human Race would just like to say We Just Can't Stop Loving You, You Are Not Alone, You've Got A Friend always and you will be forever Invincible.

God Bless You Brother Michael, R.I.P. Our Man In The Mirror and Dear Friend.

Respect Always

AARON:
Michael Jackson - Truly a one of a kind and nothing except the second coming of Christ will eclipse what you accomplished on this earth in your all too short life. I guess they needed you upstairs, so goodbye my hero and take care of the good people that left too soon. Rest In Peace

ZN:
I would just like to say that Michael Jackson was such an amazing man. He was completely good-hearted and I doubt that he ever thought badly of someone. He had so much love to give, even when he had to go through those troubled times. Michael came from a brilliant family and I give my wishes to them all. I hope his children grow to be as great as him, and that Michael's memory will stay with us forever. May You Rest In Peace, Michael Joseph Jackson.

MATTHEW:
Like so many of us I was shocked, still am, to hear the sudden passing of THE KING POP - Michael Jackson. He was the reason I got into music in the first place... My prayers and thoughts go out to he's family, especially his three children. I hope in time the pain will ease of for them. Peace.

CAROL & LACEY:
Taken way too soon, a true leader in human kindness. Very misunderstood and some just did not take the time to know the truth before judging. But God knew you were good... May you rest in peace Michael and may God be with your babies and your family. We pray your children stay with your family where they belong... May he watch over each of them and guide them...

KIERAN A:
I am a 15 year old boy from the United Kingdom. I saw Shaeen Jafogoli singing Who's Loving You - I was too scared to sign up for Britains Got Talent. Now Michael Jackson has showed me life is too short and live life to the full, so next year I will be signing up for Britains Got Talent in honor of Michael Jackson - R.I.P Michael.

RICHIE CLARKE:
Today I wept unashamedly and still find it hard to believe that one of the greatest humanitarians, that ever was ... has gone ! And I prayed ... YES prayed so passionately, alongside the preacher and millions of people around the world, for us all, to "Heal The World".

I was born and raised in the Granby district of TOXTETH, Liverpool in England in 1960 and grew up dancing and singing along to the musical legacy that Michael, the J5 and the Motown Sound, gave us. As the 60's passed into the 70's, the racial barriers in communities, such as ours, began to crumble. The joy of seeing kids from all ethnic backgrounds, dancing together in real honest to god happiness.

If you really do love Michael...NOW is the time,to reach into your own heart and honor him, by breaking down ALL the barriers of prejudice and discrimination in any capacity ! We live in such difficult times right now ... let's move forward, instead of backwards and learn to truly love each other !! We owe it to ourselves,as human beings.

I send my love to the JACKSON FAMILY,and thank you for sharing your wonderful son, brother and daddy ... with us !

And Finally ! Dear Michael, I send you this message tonight, along with a piece of my heart. You made a difference, bigger than you could have ever imagined. If I can make a difference to just one person's life, before I have to leave... then I will have helped to keep your LEGACY alive. While I continue to breath... YOU WILL NEVER BE ALONE, because I'll think of you often and remember what you meant to me !

I love you MJJ , Always remember that !! Richi Clarke x

XXXPRISCILLA JACKSONXXX:
It hurts for me to say something about this because I don't wanna
get this in my head again, to me i feel like this can't be true... and it hasn't quite reached to me yet. We couldn't even imagine the day that you would die, especially at this age and it hurts so much because i feel like i grew up with you even though I did not have the chance to meet you, I felt like you were a father, brother, uncle, cousin just a family to me. And you loose, you will take years to believe it's true.

I know you are in a better place and you finally have peace and your spirit is still here. No one will ever forget you, it's impossible, but we will miss you sooooo much. We love you with all our hearts. Not jus the king of pop you are more than that... you are a gift from God and you have surely blessed this universe, we need more people like you but we know no one can ever replace you. R.I.P MJ, GONE TOO SOON, WE WILL MISS BUT NEVA 4 GET.

JADE (Campbelltown nsw Australia:
The world has lost a very talented Michael Jackson. There will never be another to take his place he was it. May he rest in peace and the memories and songs will live on in our hearts, - we will miss you Michael Jackson. Forever in our hearts.

ELEANOR R:
Dear Michael you had a great heart and soul, and really understood the problems of others. We shared our childhood with you, grew up with you, and watched you become the great person
that you were. You will always be missed, God bless you always.

JIM HEGARTY:
It was a real shock to hear of Michael's death. I was on the underground returning from The Motown Legends show at Wembley Arena, when i opened a text from a friend. I could not believe what i had read, I asked a lady, sitting near me was it true and when she confirmed it was true, I started to cry.

For me Michael, has always been there, we were both born in 1958. I remember as a child, begging my Mum, for money to buy the J5's singles and albums. I had the pleasure of meeting him three time's in february 1979, when The Jacksons, were touring. We went to the Montecalme Hotel in central London, at the back of Selfridges, to see them. At first Michael was all shy with us, but after a little while he came out of his shell and was charming and humble to us as avid fans. The next afternoon, I took my two and a half yr old nephew with me to meet him - It was a real treat. Today people don't believe him - that he met Michael, but we know it's true. The next evening we went to the Rainbow in Finsbury Park for the concert. We arrived early as Randy came to the stage door and took us back stage, and again we met them all. After the show we had serious trouble getting away from the screaming girls outside as we left from the stage door. It was total chaos as the fans had seen my friend look out of the dressing room window, and were jealous and crazy. For me Michael is the ultimate star and will always be in our hearts. God bless you, and thank god that he sent you to us to share your life, music and talent with the world.

DAWN HATELY:
I'm still in shock about Michael's death, after all, he was such a vibrant genius within his fabulous music and addictive dance routines, a true master of perfection. Anybody that has seen him perform live, as I have done twice before, and was about to see him again at the 02 in London, was in awe of his performances, you couldn't be otherwise.

He adored his fans as we adored him. I saw him grow from a very young boy to the Pop Icon he is today. Any negativity which surrounded him when he was alive and will no doubt, continually rear its ugly self now he is no longer with us, should be buried for the sake of his children and family, my heart goes out to them all. True fans never believed it, he was proven innocent, and actually he wanted to 'make this world a better place', living a childhood through children's eyes which he never had. He was a gentle soul although tormented, but he hoped for love and peace in the world and sung of it so often, what more can I say. I'll miss you Michael, your music and dance forever inspirational, but you will live in my heart forever, RIP.

LOUISE NEW:
I am deep shock like the rest of the world, i never got to see one of his concerts but loved everything about him, to the film him made 'MOONWALKER' to the ever so talented dancer. I feel for the family and my heart goes out to them. Michael will NEVER be forgotten.

SANDRA HAMPTON:
MJ u will be sadly missed by myself and millions more, I'm so sad I never got to meet you at the o2 which i had tickets booked for the 14th july which was changed to 6th march, I was soooo happy to be one of the thousands which got tickets at the o2 but now its all over and no one will get to see the best MJ ever. My thoughts are with your family friends and most of all your fans, losing u is like losing a member of the family, may u rest in peace and i do hope people will leave your soul alone, R.I.P Michael x x x

MAGGIE MAC:
Heal the World from above Michael and make it a better place. Sadly missed. XX

TOLISE MOORE:
The Moore family wants to extend our condolences to the Jackson family. Michael will be missed and this nation has suffered one of life's "greatest" tragedy's. Michael has definitely touched many lives from the wealthy to the less fortunate all over this country! Our prayers are with you and your entire family Mr & Mrs Jackson. May GOD keep all of you wrapped in his loving arms!

KAMESHA JONES:
I am so truly sorry for your loss. Michael Jackson was one of the greatest singers alive and he will be truly missed. I can honestly say that I am a HUGE Michael Jackson fan. Those who know me and ride in my car if they didn't like/love Michael before getting in my car they like/loved him after because that's all I would play. I still can't believe he's gone, it feels like a bad dream and I want to wake up. I love Michael Jackson and he will be truly missed by millions. My prayers go out to the Jackson family. R.I.P MJ.

JEFFERY RHINEY:
He was a very troubled man through the isolation caused by fame limiting his exposure to larger contact with people in general. Who's experiences worst than his would have made him realise what gifts he had and seeing this would have given him great confidence to not need any drugs to cope? He had the positive vibes within him to cope and overcome. He wasn't a wicked man, there was huge amounts of positive energy within him infected by negative people, so I am pretty confident he will be ok in the next life. I think his purpose was to keep the world positive, not through the barrel of a gun like some people I could mention (who people vote for surprisingly). He helped us through music, which is one of the things that keeps humanity relaxed-not negative. Good, positive or loving people usually disintegrate into mental illness (or worse death) through persecution. Remember he was never found guilty of an offense through trial nor was he pressured or coerced into a self-plea of guilty through incarceration before his trial - he was ALWAYS positive.

The parable of the 'wheat and the tares' in the Bible is very real, there are exceedingly negative, uncaring and evil individuals here interwoven into our lives who do not like like positive or spiritually uplifting people like the late Michael Jackson. They slur stuff, stuff alleged against him, no evidence was put his way in court.

God have great, great mercy on you Mike - I believe your mission in life was to bring positive energy to us and to keep us happy.

@ARTISTS & FRIENDS...

BERRY GORDY, MOTOWN FOUNDER:
I am shocked beyond words. It's like a dream - a bad dream. This cannot be! How can Michael Jackson not be here?

As a kid, Michael was always beyond his years. He had a knowingness about him that was incredible.

When I first heard him sing Smokey's song, "Who's Lovin' You" at 10 years' old, it felt like he had lived the song for 50 years. Somehow, even at that first meeting with him, he had a hunger to learn, a hunger to be the best and was willing to work as hard and as long as it took.

I had no concern about his ability to go to the top. He was like my son. He had warmth, sensitivity and two personalities. When he was not on stage, he was loving, respectful and shy. When he WAS on stage, he was so in charge you would not believe he was the same person.

Michael was and will remain one of the greatest entertainers that ever lived. He was exceptional, artistic and original. He gave the world his heart and soul through his music.

I extend my sympathies to Joe, Katherine and the entire Jackson family. My prayers are with them.

DIANA ROSS (Fellow iconic singer & close friend):
I am trying to find closure, I want you to know that even though I am not there at the Staples Center. I am there in my heart. I have decided to pause and be silent.

Michael was a personal love of mine, a treasured part of my world, part of the fabric of my life in a way that I cant seem to find words to express.

"I shall take responsibility for his three children, Prince Michael I, Paris and Prince Michael II if need be. Michael wanted me to be there for his children, and I will be there if they ever they need me.

Thank you Katherine and Joe for sharing your son with the world and with me. I send my love and condolences to the Jackson family.

QUINCY JONES ('Off The Wall', 'Thriller' and 'Bad' producer):
I'm absolutely devastated at this news. I just don't have the words. Divinity brought our souls together and allowed us to do what we could do through the 80s. To this day that music is played in every corner of the world, and the reason is because he had it all - talent, grace and professionalism. I've lost my little brother today and part of my soul has gone with him.

LISA MARIE PRESLEY (Ex-wife):
I am so very sad and confused with every emotion possible. I am heartbroken for his children, who I know were everything to him, and for his family. This is such a massive loss on so many levels, words fail me".

URI GELLER (close friend):
I'm just devastated, very very sad. I pray that his soul is up there now. I'm still trying to hold on to the glimmer that it is not true. It is too surreal for me to absorb that Michael is no longer with us. Michael was in good shape because he was practicing, he was training, he was rehearsing for the shows. Michael was careful with what he ate, he was just fine. Last time I know and heard of what he was doing he was in great shape. And this is why I'm so absolutely shocked by this news.

MAYA ANGELOU(Autobiographer and Poet):

SO TRUE
Tuesday I cried watching the Michael Jackson memorial. I cried for a little black boy who felt the world didn't understand him. I cried for a little black boy who spent his adulthood chasing his Childhood. And I thought about all the young black boys out there who may too feel That the world doesn't understand them.

The ones who feel that the world does not understand their baggy jeans, Their swagger, their music, their anger, their struggles, Their fears or the chip on their shoulder. I worry that my son, may too, one day will feel lonely in a wide, wide World. I cried for the young children of all colors who may live their life feeling like a misfit, feeling like no one understands their perspective, or their soul. What a burden to carry.

As a mother, I cried for Katherine Jackson because no mother
Should ever bury a child. Period. And I think about all the pain, tears and sleepless nights that she must have endured seeing her baby boy in inner pain, seeing him struggle with his self-esteem,
And his insecurities and to know he often felt unloved even
While the world loved him deeply. How does it feel to think that the unconditional love we give as mothers just isn't enough to make our children feel whole? I wonder if she still suffers thinking, "what more could I have done?" Even moms of music legends aren't immune to mommy guilt, I suppose.

When Rev. Al Sharpton (who always delivers one hell of a funeral speech) Said to Michael's children, "Your daddy was not strange...
It was strange what your Daddy had to deal with," I thought of all the "strange" things of the world that my children will have to deal with. Better yet, the things I hope they won't ever have to deal with anymore. And as a mother raising a young black boy, I feel recommitted and yet a little confused as to how to make sure my son is sure enough within himself to take on the world. Especially a "strange" one. To love himself enough to know that even when the world doesn't understand you, tries to force you into its mold or treats you unkindly, you are still beautiful, strong and Black. How do I do that?

Today, I am taking back "childhood" as an inalienable right for every brown little one. In a world, that makes children into booty-shaking, mini-adults long before their time, I'm reclaiming the playful, innocent, run-around-outside childhood, as the key ingredient in raising confident adults.

Second, I will not rest until my little black boy, MY Michael, knows that his broad nose is beautiful, his chocolately brown skin is beautiful, and his thick hair is beautiful. And nothing or no one can ever take that away from him. "Now aint we bad? And ain't we black? And ain't we fine?

GLORIA JONES & PAM SAWYER; Jones (singer) - together a Motown writing duo (open letter):

Dear Mr. & Mrs Joe Jackson,

Upon the passing of Michael we can only send our sympathy to you and your family at this exceptionally sad time. Pamela Joan Sawyer and I were very young mothers when we first met your family. With our children being younger we always respected his unique talent and knew Michael as a regular child, having fun and playing with our own kids just like anyone else. I can remember when he shared his collections of snakes with us in your family's Encino Estate and also the time when a rattle snake was discovered in your backyard of your Kingsway home. I so vividly remember sitting with the late and great producer Hal Davis who was so proud of you and of Michael when her performed 'Billie Jean' at Motown's 25th. Michael - Thanks for the wonderful memories - you will live on in our hearts forever .

LYNDA LAURENCE (Formerly of The Supremes) Open letter:

After hearing the news of Michael's passing, I took a very deep breath and exhaled. I just could not believe this was happening.

I wish to express my personal thoughts regarding the untimely, shocking death of the "Greatest Entertainer" who ever lived..."Mr. Michael Jackson."

Mr. Jackson (as I feel he should be referred to) was to me, a unique young man that I had the pleasure of meeting at Motown in the Woodward Building, in Detroit when he was 10 Years old. He was in the studio with producer Bobby Taylor recording a song. I remember him as a hard worker who was always honing his craft. In time, what he became told the story of his entertaining prowess, his dancing genius, his unique vocals and his extraordinary humanitarianism.

There is no wonder that he is getting all of the accolades, respect, acknowledgments and expressions of praise and honor that we are seeing. My only regret is that when he was alive he had to leave this country to get it. It seems that the same people who once vilified him are now singing his praises. In actuality, they can't not sing his praises. What he did stands for itself. Nevertheless, he died not knowing how people in this country truly felt about him. He was never exonerated of the false charges against him, even when the first accuser spoke out in a newspaper report admitting he had lied and that his father put him up to it so that they would not be poor any longer. But where is that story on the news?

I want to personally send all of my Love and Sympathy to his darling mother Katherine. She of all people, at this time, needs our love and support as she has lost her precious son. What could be harder to cope with? I send my deep felt condolences to the Jackson family and I hope that in time they will heal.

Truly and respectfully, he was...Mr. Michael Jackson!

Best Regards,
Lynda Laurence

Kevin Mazur, Celebrity Photographer/ founder of wireimage.com:
I am devastated by the sudden loss of the "KING of POP" who I have photographed numerous times since the Victory Tour in the 80's.
When he hit the stage at rehearsal, I was thrilled that the magical Michael Jackson was BACK!!! I felt the same adrenaline rush as when I photographed him the 1st time moon-walking.
I was so looking forward to shooting the O2 Arena performances with the amazing production that Kenny Ortega and AEG put together with Michael for his fans.
