Editorial STUFF

Welcome to B&S online, as we try to put a spring in your step this March by way of some fresh first class interviews - We kick off with MOTOWN influenced CRAIG DAVID, who tips his metaphorical hat in the direction of the iconic label. B&S' PETE LEWIS goes on to score a magnificent double, whilst keeping in the MOTOWN mood, with a tremendous OTIS WILLIAMS (the only surviving original member of THE TEMPTATIONS) interview ahead of their U.K. MOTOWN LEGENDS TOUR. In a chart topping double, we talk to U.S chart stormer JAY SEAN, and not to be out done, current chart topper on this side of the Atlantic TINIE TEMPAH (when we tipped these two - we tipped big!) It's time to grow as LEMAR reflects on his 'THE HITS' album and CHIDDY BANG on our door, to give us the low-down on the megga catchy 'OPPOSITE OF KIDS' (don't say we didn't warn you - you'll be humming it till bed time). In reflection this month, we remember 'jazz great' SIR JOHN DANKWORTH, whose tireless work both musically and for charity demands our recognition - thank you Johnny! It's also a win, win situation as we give you a chance to bag yourself tickets to MICA PARIS @PIGALLE, CANDI STATON @MATTER and STAX newbie N'DAMBI @JAZZ CAFE. We have CD's for your enjoyment also, as we give you the chance to win 'DEFECTED IN THE HOUSE MIAMI 10', SIMPLY RED's 'LOVE SONGS', LEMAR's 'THE HITS' and we are back on the DEFECTED tip with 'MEZZANINE DE L'ALCAZAR VOL 9'. March sees a new columnist added to our mighty pages with PHIL DRIVER joining our team - PHIL will be bringing your attention to tomorrows artists today by way of his UNSIGNED SOUL COLUMN. Please get in touch phil@bluesandsoul.com if you are both exceptionally talented and unsigned (both must go hand in hand) - you could be featured! Whilst on the column subject... No1 MOTOWN authority SHARON DAVIS' email address has changed to misssharondavis3@aol.com if you wish to contact her with regard to her essential (read by half of MOTOWN - I kid you not) MOTOWN TRACKING COLUMN. Jazz fans are throughly satisfied as the guv'nor SNOWBOY casts his critical eye on all things jazz snowboy@bluesandsoul.com and last but by no means least BEN LOVETT OTOWN authority SHARON DAVIS' email address has changed to ben@bluesandsoul.com goes in search of that essential tune/club in his monthly HOUSE & DANCE column THE GROOVEYARD - If you're into dance music then this column is an absolute must!... Just time to re-remind you to follow the music news as it happens at twitter/bluesandsoul - please tweet us and tell us what you're up to, we're nosey like that! ....STOP PRESS... STOP PRESS...
